| William Brovelli b. 1967 is a NYC-based visual artist. Brovelli’s work introduces strategies that reconfigure the traditional rules of connection between collector and artist, collector and art object, and between artist and the act of creating the object. In some instances the rules or conditions are in the form of legal contracts. This working process prevents stasis after the sale by setting up the potential for re-activation of the object at different points in time, the result being a work that may receive input from a wider spectrum of possibility. Brovelli was raised in Western Massachusetts where he received early formal commercial art training. He relocated to New York in 2007. |

Our Mission
It is our commitment to create an environment where professional artists can thrive in their work and their career in the arts, and to establish a place where gallerists, curators, collectors, writers, designers and architects, will find high-quality, fresh and progressive ideas in art. We achieve this by carefully selecting our artists, encouraging their input and supporting their interaction to ensure a better experience while at Juvenal Reis Studios. We continuously create and implement new projects to interact with the greater community of Long Island City through artist talks, workshops, Open Studios, group & solo shows, internships and visiting artist programs. |
